Teaching at Xavier College: May – June 2016

I am teaching music to children at Xavier College in Kew for the next month, all the way from 3 year old kindergarten to Grade 5! While most of the teaching will be classroom teaching, with a focus on the Kodaly music method, I will also be running choir for grades 2 to 5. The choir is preparing for an upcoming concert, featuring an original work, written especially for the Xavier choir, which includes singing in 7 different languages! Quite a feat for such young children to learn 

Teaching at Caulfield Grammar School, Wheelers Hill: July 2016

I am teaching classroom music to kindergarten and primary school children at the Caulfield Grammar School Wheelers Hill campus.

Teaching at Caulfield Grammar School, Malvern Campus: August 2016

I am teaching classroom music, as well as running choir at a different campus of Caulfield Grammar School; this time I am teaching primary school children at the Malvern campus. Such a beautiful building!

Teaching at Caulfield Grammar School, Malvern Campus: September 2016

I’m back at the Malvern campus of Caulfield Grammar School, just focusing on the grade 5 choir.

Teaching at Caulfield Grammar School, Malvern Campus: October 2016

I really love teaching choir, especially to enthusiastic young singers 

Teaching at Caulfield Grammar School, Malvern Campus: August 2017

I’m running choir a couple of times before school, to help the children prepare for an upcoming concert. I love the songs they are singing! It was a little challenging running choir with a broken foot and also whilst still recovering from laryngitis, but I managed. The second rehearsal, when I had my voice back, was much more productive, and most importantly, fun!

Performance at Federation Square:

I’ve been directing a choir made up of recovering addicts
